Golf For A Cure
Tournament Rules

Scramble Format:
-
All players tee off and then decide which tee shot they like the best, mark the spot with a tee. The other team members pick up their balls and place them within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits their next shot from the chosen spot.

-
If your ball is in a hazard (sand trap, water, etc..) the ball MUST stay in the same condition. Ex. If a ball chosen is in a bunker, all shots must be hit from the bunker. Even if one club length gets out of the bunker, the shots must be hit no closer to the hole, staying in the hazard.

-
This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The ball should be marked on the putting green. Putts need to be made within 3 inches of the marked ball (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score. When putting, once any ball is holed out, no further strokes count. The team is cautioned not to make “tap in” putts until all team members have had the opportunity to attempt the team’s original putt.

-
Play the tees you NORMALLY play.

-
In the event of a tie for a prize, the staff at Crossgates GC will compare scorecards and break ties by matching scorecards starting with the hardest handicap hole. Continuing until one team has the lowest score on a hole

-
Maximum score is a bogey.

Once you get to a bogey on a hole, pick up your balls, mark a bogey on your scorecard and move on to the next hole.

-
Each group is expected to maintain an acceptable pace of play.
